The DG series Multistage Ring Section Centrifugal Hot Water Circulation Pump is a radially split, segmented casing, multistage pump designed with modular interstage components.
It is specially designed for hot water circulation applications and boiler feeding projects. All the parts are comply to hot water transferring in high pressure safely, its structure and seals also could bear the heating & pressure. In order to prevent any shifting of the pump and motor shaft centrelines towards one another under the influence of the high casing temperature, the pump feet are usually arranged at shaft centreline height on the pump casing. This pump foot arrangement is characteristic of hot water pumps in ring-section design.
Hot water circulation pumps are centrifugal pumps which maintain a forced circulation of the heated fluid handled in hot-water heating systems whose geodetic head is insufficient for ensuring an appropriate natural circulation velocity based on density differences. Forced circulation means that smaller pipe diameters can be used, keeping system costs down compared to natural circulation systems.
Industrial boiler feed water pumps, for example on board a marine vessel, in a large industrial factory or a power plant, are fed either fresh water or steam by a high pressure boiler feed pump. As the water or steam is fed round a system, they are sometimes referred to as boiler circulation pumps. Multiple impellers are used in series to generate the high pressures necessary to feed the boiler. Thus, a boiler feed pump is built to handle extremely high water pressure to deliver the feed water into the boiler system. Generally, a boiler feed pump can handle the pressure of up to 100 bar.

The balancing device on centrifugal pumps is designed to fully or partially compensate axial thrust generated by the pump rotor. Designs incorporating a single balance drum or double drum require a thrust bearing to absorb the residual thrust.
When the pump is in operation, the balancing device requires a certain amount of balancing flow through the clearance gap between the balancing device's rotating and non-rotating parts. The balance flow is subjected to considerable throttling on its way through the gap.
This pressure loss results in an axial force acting upon the balancing device which counteracts the impeller's axial thrust and effects the required balancing. Balancing devices are used when the axial thrust involved is extremely high, as is the case with super pressure pumps.
